Make sure to use many black wire clear or white Christmas lights #ad on your black Christmas tree.  Make sure to use black wire lights so the wire is not visible in the tree.

You should decorate with at least one strand of 100 lights per foot height of tree.  If you have a 7 foot tall tree, use 7 strands of 100 lights minimum.

Feel free to add more if you desire.

If you have a pre-lit tree, you can add more lights to make it really glow.

Color Scheme of Decorations
Black Christmas trees are often decorated with neutral color scheme decorations.

White, silver, and/or gold look best.

You can even decorate a black Christmas tree with all black Christmas ornaments #ad.

Since you are using a simple color scheme, you should add interest by using many textures.

You can use ornaments that are shiny, silky, mirrored, smooth, glittered, rough, metallic, bumpy, all of the above, or whatever you desire.

Another popular color scheme to use with a black Christmas tree is bold colors like hot pink, rich purple, or bold burgundy.

Garland
Before adding ornaments to your black Christmas tree, start by putting on any garland, floral picks, ribbon, or other non-ornament items.

Ensure that these items are evenly spaced.

Ornaments
Now it is time to decorate your black Christmas with ornaments.

If you have a collection of identical ornaments, such as silver spheres, put those on first evenly spaced apart.

After those ormanets are placed, add your one of a kind ornaments.

Put the larger ornaments on the bottom and the smaller ornaments towards the top of the Christmas tree.

Christmas Tree Topper and Tree Skirt
After you have finished decorating your black Christmas tree, top it with a Christmas tree topper if you wish.

Once you are finished with that, clean the area and place your Christmas tree skirt as the final decorating step.
