How to Decorate a Barbie Christmas Tree

If you or someone you know loves Barbie, you may want to have an entire Christmas tree devoted to her this year.

Barbie Christmas trees are fun, nostalgic, glam. and girlie.

Here are a few ways to decorate a Barbie Christmas tree in your home.

Select the Barbies
Decide which barbies you want to use on your Christmas tree.

The Barbies will need coordinating outfits.

They can all wear the same outfit or outfits that have something in common, such as a common color, winter clothes, or a common vintage era.

Color Scheme
Now that the Barbies are dressed and ready to go, decide on the color scheme you want to use for the other decorations on the tree (if you choose to use ornaments), including the tree skirt and tree topper.

Barbie is commonly shown with pink and sometimes black accents.

Christmas Tree
Decide on the color of your Christmas tree.

You can use a traditional green Christmas tree, a white Christmas tree, a black Christmas tree (which would be very dramatic), or a pink Christmas tree.

The choice is yours.

Lights
Lights should be put on your Christmas tree first and checked to make sure they are all working.

You should use a solid color Christmas light that does not blink, however consider using 1-2 strands of blinking lights just around the trunk of the Christmas tree.

Also consider adding 1-2 strands of Christmas lights with a slightly larger bulb for variety of lighting.

Attach the Barbies
Decide the best way to attach your Barbies to the Christmas tree without hurting them.

Maybe you can tie something (zip ties, twist ties, chenille sticks, etc) around their waist under their clothes to attach them to the tree.

Another idea is to create a platform for them to stand on that attaches to the Christmas tree.

Add Other Decorations
After all of the Barbies have been added, you can add the other ornaments and embellishments, including the tree topper and Christmas tree skirt.

You can add rhinestones, spakly garland, and/or other fun and glittery items.

The tree topper can be a Barbie (or several Barbies) holding a large star above their heads.

Consider wrapping your Christmas gifts in Barbie wrapping paper or pink paper with white or black bows.
