How to Personalize Your Christmas Tree

Many people have a beautiful Christmas tree that is pretty but is not personalized to the people who decorated it.

Here are a few ways to personalize your Christmas tree and make it special to you.

Who says Christmas has to be red and green?

To add personality and make your Christmas tree personal to you, create your own unique color scheme.

You can use the color scheme of your favorite sports team, your bedroom color, or any color you desire.

You can use orange, turquoise, hot pink, animal print, or whatever color combination you like.

Theme
You can personalize your Christmas tree by creating a theme for the decorations that is unique to you.

Perhaps your theme is vintage cars, old family photos, board games, animals, pets, cooking, baking, dance, Legos, magic, pottery, poker, barbeque, books, sewing, hunting, camping, kites, sea shells, rocks, coins, chess, a certain sport, a certain university, or whatever interests you.

Memory Ornaments
Another way to personalize your Christmas tree is to have memory ornaments.

You can get a Christmas ornament from every place you visit on vacation, an ornament that has a photo of your child with Santa each year, or an ornament made from a cutting at the base of your Christmas tree with the date on it from each year.

Whatever you want to remember can be made into an ornament.

Yearly Ornament
If you wish, you can add one ornament per year that reflects your life at that time.

If you like a certain sport, get an ornament with that sport.

If you just had a baby, find an ornament that reflects that.

Many stores will personalize ornaments with your name and date or you can write it yourself on the bottom or back of the ornament if you wish.

Homemade
Anything homemade is personal and one of a kind.

Consider making your own garland, ornaments, tree topper, or tree skirt to personalize your Christmas tree.
