The space under your sink is most likely not well utilized and may be a dumping ground for various cleaners.

One storage idea is to change the hardware on your fake drawer fronts with a hinge so the drawer fronts tilt out.

Once the drawer fronts tilt out, you can add a sponge holder #ad to store your kitchen sponges or other little items that need to be within arms reach.

Also consider getting roll out bins under your kitchen sink so you can slide out the bins and reach the back portion of the cabinet.

Trash Can
You can put your trash can in your pantry, laundry room, or have it built into your kitchen cabinets #ad.

A great creative storage idea for a trash can is to build it into a cabinet, but have the entire cabinet section on wheels able to disconnect from your other cabinets so you can roll around your trash can to the area it is needed.

Toe Kick
The area under your base cabinets is called a toe kick since that is where your toes go when you are working at the countertop.

It is approximately 4" tall and totally wasted space.

Consider putting drawers in your toe kick area for your seasonal linens, pet bowls, cookie sheets, place mats, cutting boards, platters, and storage of other flat items.

Many people like to make one huge toe kick drawer to store their broom and mop.

Drawers
Instead of having cabinet doors on the base cabinets in your kitchen, have drawers instead.

Drawers allow you to easily reach items in the back of the cabinet and keeps you from having to remove items in the front to access items in the back.

You can retrofit your existing cabinets to have drawers on the inside, making your kitchen storage more accessible.

Drawer Dividers
In order to maximize the space you have in your kitchen drawers and to keep items from shifting when opening and closing your doors, install drawer dividers.

Use a silverware tray or office supply dividers for your silverware and for other utensils.

Some companies sell spring loaded drawer dividers to fit your drawers exactly or you can build in custom dividers to fit your other larger items perfectly.

Another option is to get a pegboard bottom for your drawer and use pegs to divide your items.

Inside Cabinet Doors
You can add storage to the inside of your kitchen cabinet doors for thin items.

Consider adding storage solutions for your cutting boards, plastic bags, plastic wrap & aluminum foil, dish towels, pot holders, spices, and/or pot lids.

You can even use the inside of your cabinet doors as a message center for a chalkboard or bulletin board.

Corner Cabinets
Cabinets in the corner of a kitchen have dead space.

Either your cabinets do not extend into the corner or the very back of your cabinets is nearly impossible to reach.

A corner cabinet storage idea is to add a lazy susan that will allow you to easily reach all parts of your corner cabinet.

There are many other corner cabinet organizers #ad available to maximize that space.

You can even have corner drawers.

Top of Cabinet
A creative storage idea for your kitchen is to add large baskets to the top of your kitchen cabinets to hold seasonal items.

Make sure that the weight of the items is not too heavy for your upper cabinets.
