Different Color
Your Christmas wreath does not have to be red and green.

Consider using a non-traditional color, such as turquoise, silver, gold, or purple.

You can even use a rainbow of colors.

Different Material
Most traditional wreaths are made out of evergreen branches.

Consider creating your wreath out of a different material for a unique Christmas display.

You can make your wreath out of candy, bells, fabric, feathers, candy canes, toys, spheres, wine corks, ornaments, sea shells, paper, fruit, pine cones, flowers, or whatever you wish.

Focal Point
Consider adding a focal point element to your Christmas tree.

You can add a large bow, a crown on top of your wreath, an angel, a huge jingle bell, a Santa Claus, or a decorative element to the center of your wreath.

Another option is to leave your Christmas wreath simply decorated on 3/4 and decorate 1/4 of the wreath to be the focal point.

Shape
Most Christmas wreaths are in a circle shape, however you can have a wreath in a half circle, heart, square, or star shape.

Texture
The most beautiful Christmas wreaths are usually decorated with elements that are very textural to add interest.

If you are using items without much texture, such as shiny smooth ornaments, use ornaments of different sizes and slightly different colors in order to create a textural feel.
