If you receive Christmas cards in December, consider displaying them instead of setting them aside after reading them.
You can choose to display Christmas cards only from this year or display cards from this year and previous years.
Here are a few traditional, unique, creative, and different ways to display Christmas cards.

Create your own Christmas card chandelier using fishing line.
Simply hang several strands of fishing line from your ceiling around an existing light fixture (far enough away that it will not cause a fire hazard).
Odd numbered strands look best, such as 5 or 7 strands instead of 4 or 6.
For a dining room display, let the fishing line hang to where it is 30" above your dining table.
As you receive Christmas cards, attach them to the fishing line, leaving an equal space between them.
Fill all fishing line strands at the top, then work your way down.
Under Glass
Consider getting a piece of glass cut to fit your coffee table perfectly.
Display your Christmas cards on the table under the glass.
Around a Mirror
You can attach your Christmas cards to be a mirror border.
Consider using a mirror that is hung above your fireplace or a mirror in a powder bathroom.
Hung From Ribbon
Hang wide ribbon from your wall, a door, or any other vertical surface to create your Christmas card display.
Attach your Christmas cards to the ribbon from the center of the ribbon to the center of the card.
Allow equal space between cards. As you receive more and more Christmas cards, you may need to add ribbons.
You may wish to decorate the top of your ribbon display with a bow or Christmas ornament.
Bulletin Board
Use a bulletin board just for displaying Christmas cards.
The face of the bulletin board can be decorative fabric to match your Christmas color scheme.
Around a Door Frame
Select a prominent door frame in your home and attach your Christmas cards around the door frame.
On a Garland
You can string an evergreen garland across your fireplace mantle and attach Christmas cards to the garland.
In Your Christmas Tree
Why not use your Christmas cards as Christmas ornaments?
You can add Christmas cards to your primary Christmas tree or set up a secondary Christmas tree solely for Christmas cards.

Staircase
Punch a small hole in the top corner of your Christmas cards and string ribbon through the hole. Attach the cards using the ribbon to your staircase hand rail.
Shutters
If you have shutters on your windows, or a decorative shutter in your home, consider displaying your Christmas cards there.
On a Wreath
Consider creating a Christmas wreath that has Christmas cards pinned to it.
If you put the wreath on your front door, you will get to see the cards every time you go through the door.
Clothesline
Create a clothesline using almost-invisible fishing line or decorative ribbon strung across a wall.
Use clothes pins to attach the Christmas cards to the clothesline.
You can even use fancy clothespins.
Christmas Card Hanger
You can purchase a specialty Christmas card hanger.
These hangers can be freestanding or wall mounted.
